I have been giving form to beautiful metals for 42 years. Copper an abundant metal of my home country of Chile is radiant warm and unmistakable. It possesses a special malleability and unique aging characteristics that I find fascinating. I take this noble material and use rudimentary tools and techniques to give it life. That life is inspired by the forms of nature and pre-Columbian Latin American art. In designing and making each piece I intend to make the natural alive both in material and aesthetic and hope the products of my efforts light up someone’s home.
