What began as an exploration into the wonder of colors and textures of glass has evolved into a joy filled career for me.
I find my inspiration in nature, so my designs are ever changing, like the world we live in. I have been doing shows since 2002, helping my mosaics find their way into the homes and gardens of folks in 17 states of this great country.
Once I get an idea in mind for a new piece I sketch up a pattern for components of the design so they can be recreated. Most of my work is meant to be functional, but some of it is just for fun. After the design there is color and texture selections and the cutting and assembling of the glass design. I think I like the finishing step, grouting, because it is such hard messy but gratifying work.
The final pleasure of my work is to attend good shows that are well attended by garden lovers that find joy in my “Joyful Things”.
