
Glencoe Festival of Art Returns July 27 & 28, 2019!
From award-winning art festival production company, Amdur Productions, The Village of Glencoe is delighted to be hosting the 11th annual Glencoe Festival of Art. More than 110 juried artists from across the country will be showcasing their work in a variety of different mediums including painting, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry, and wood. Nestled amongst upscale cafes, shops, galleries, and boutiques, the Glencoe Festival of Art is the perfect way to round out a weekend of shopping! Located in downtown Glencoe at the intersection of Green Bay Road and Park Avenue, the art festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, July 27, and 28, from 10 am to 5 pm both days. Admission is FREE for all art festival attendees!
“Downtown Glencoe is the perfect location for an art festival, as the bustling atmosphere provides plenty of food, entertainment, and excitement for festival attendees,” says Amy Amdur, president of Amdur Productions, producers of the Glencoe Festival of Art. “I’m excited to see what stunning pieces our artists have created for the festival this year!”
In addition to free admission, the Glencoe Festival of Art provides free parking in nearby commuter lots. It is also easily accessible from the Metra via the Union Pacific North line. Festival attendees will enjoy a variety of food and beverage options including Guanajuato, Meg’s Café/An Apple a Day Catering, Valor Glencoe, Hometown Coffee, and Guildhall. The weekend festivities will also be accompanied by live music from popular music duo Cirrus Falcon!
In addition to the one-of-a-kind pieces on display for purchase, artists will be available to provide live demonstrations and booth chats in order to grant customers an inside look into their inspiration. With over 110 artists showcasing their pieces, there will be something to delight every shopper! Budding artists of every age are also invited to participate in a poster contest to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Glencoe’s founding. Glencoe residents can create their own poster in any medium that represents what Glencoe means to them.
