Artist Statement
My style varies from traditional to contemporary with metal being the common thread. Instead of sketching my designs in advance I draw inspiration from the organic nature of the process. I work the piece with passion and intensity until it says I am complete.” I work in silver copper steel and metal clay. The most recent innovation has been combining metal clay with Kumihimo beaded braids. My sense of design and color comes from my background in fiber. My sense of balance and pattern come from observing nature the most experienced teacher. I always try to trust my intuitive sense as this allows me to create with greater freedom. I specialized in one-of-a-kind pieces and limited editions. I want the wearer of my art jewelry to feel unique.”
