Artist Statement
Working with traditional film, digital photography, digital processing and printmaking techniques, I create images that explore themes of the natural and man-made world.
Trees are a favorite motif, but I am not particular about subject matter. I photograph landscapes, seascapes, flowers, plants, reflections, still life, portraits – and despite the variety his aesthetic is distinctive. I find fascination in transforming it into a subjective point of view. Playing with color, light, shadows, contrast and texture, sometimes combining multiples photographs, I seek to make images with visual appeal, and the enchantment and poetry follow.
This current body of work consists of limited editions dye-infusion prints on brushed aluminum, and one-of-a-kind images transferred onto gold leaf.
