Artist Statement

My journey is about transforming the spirit and creating an atmosphere of unique perspectives, opening the mind to new possibilities. Texture, color and metallics are elements I use to express my vision. By expanding our minds to greater possibilities, we connect to our higher selves for inspired solutions.
Painting, for me, is a process of the transfer of energy from my inner spirit to the canvas. Color, with its inherent energy, has the power to conjure thoughts and emotions, personally and universally.
Texture adds another dimension to my work and is produced by incorporating varying viscosities of acrylic paint, metallic leaf and other fundamental elements. Selective flame tempering of these elements creates depth, character, and structure as each layer builds the strata.
