Lilian Delgado started painting in Lima, Peru at the young age of 7. As a young girl, she loved seeing the artists painting in the local park called Mira Flores (Look at Flowers). She had her first art show in Salvador Bahia, Brazil when she was just 12 years old. Interviewed by local tv and news, her work was featured in a local 5 star hotel. Educated as an accountant, the art bug never left, and she began exhibiting her paintings in Florida. Now, a full time artist, Delgado is known for her richly pigmented, highly textured paintings of flowers with paint applied with palette knives.
Says Delgado “ My art is a reflection of my childhood memories of my hispanic culture” Best known for her florals, she is excited to show her new work this summer. See Lilian’s work here. Or see her at the Third Ward and Port Clinton Art Festivals.
