I dont use digital manipulation to achieve the effects in my images I use very unusual light and techniques. For example if you look at one of my images and see flowers inside of drops of dew it is because Im using a technique where I treat the drops as a natural lens and photograph the light passing through the drops; its not that Im digitally placing flowers in each drop. Stylistically many of my images involve the same theme they combine the concrete details of photography with abstract areas of pure color like you would find in a watercolor. I do this through the use of perspective flowing water mist long exposures at night and reflections and narrow depth of field. I am mixing the sensibility of painting with photography in much of my work. I try to balance concrete details and abstractions (texture and silk smoothness the obvious and the implied).
