Artist Statement
My jewelry is made of mixed metals. I use aluminum which I dye etch emboss and anodize. Anodizing is an electrochemical process that makes it possible to dye aluminum any color. Precious metal clay is sometimes used to form embellishments and occasionally cast in bronze copper or silver. All parts are created by my own hands and are cold-connected with miniature nuts and bolts. I am inspired by modern art and architecture. My background as a printmaker and fabric designer lends itself to use of patterns and shapes.
