My jewelry tends to be linear colorful and contemporary in design. I design a new earring first on paper master the turns and layers in brass wire and then create the finished piece in sterling silver or 14Kgold-filled wire. The wire comes coiled like a slinky. I cut the correct length of wire straighten it then carefully and slowly begin turning the angles to create a three dimensional form. Swarovski crystals semi-precious stones and Italian glass are introduced into the design as I turn the wire. The earrings are mirror images so they cannot be turned together. You must constantly watch both earrings to make sure that your angles are matching sides to side and front to back. Some designs have up to 22 precise turns per earring. I have over 106 original earring designs. The final design appears as art sculptures for the ears.
