I find myself on a journey through layers of pavement concrete and history. Positioning my pinhole camera to the sky I capture patterns of light glancing through the citys foreboding framework. I transpose these pictures to large sheets of metal. The sanded metal surface produces a radiant sky atmospheric depth and undulating forms reflecting through vivid. These are perspectives of a city made powerful with lines of steel an immovable city where the cycle of life spins and shifts in its arms. These are landscapes of the earth transformed with human hands to stand strong and proud regardless of the sublime power of nature. These are portraits of a timeless face that grows more weathered and beautiful.
