Artist Statement
I think of my jewelry as a way to make people who wear it happy and feeling good about themselves. When I create a piece I am very drawn toward a symmetrical design I suppose primarily because it feels balanced which I am constantly trying to achieve in my day to day life. Colors from nature inspire on some days but I am more likely to find myself combining brighter more eclectic colors when I need some energy to fuel my creative process. I love to dig thru some of my secret stash of stones and beads for even more inspiration. I am constantly experimenting with new techniques to create unusual designs and combining differing materials for a surprise that often works in harmony resulting in a stunning piece of jewelry. Each completed piece brings me a bit of joy knowing that I created something beautiful which I can share with others.
