Artist Statement
I produce small batches of handmade ceramic jewelry in my basement. All pieces are produced using a smooth material in combination with a small slab roller to roll out the pendant bases to allow for crisp detailed patterns to imprint the white earthenware clay. While the clay is still malleable each piece is imprinted with a pattern by hand dried and bisque fired. After the first firing the jewelry is hand glazed with nature inspired glaze colors. Once the perfect combination of colors has been achieved a clear glaze is applied over the top of each piece and fired a second time. The jewelry I produce is made with all colors combinations and many designs to allow customers to mix and match pieces to their particular taste and style.
