My unique process of kilnforming allows me to interact with my medium using an array of exciting insightful rich and muted hues in controlled heat. Using advanced techniques I play with the glass while it is moving through its melted state at 1700 degrees to create a modernistic Rorschach stripe and unique depth within the organic fused shapes. What is created? It is unknown until I work on the material while it is cold in the second of numerous processes where that surprise is revealed. These vibrant stripes are integrated with the sophistication of glossy black then bent and accented by my signature abstract sandblasted designs. Each edge is polished to create a professional finish and enhance the cleanliness of the art. Simple and refined shapes of stainless steel provide a backdrop to display the elegant designs. Using this organic material by looking within each stripe the interpretation of color and shape tells me who I am and I hope to engage others also.
