I have been a farrier for 33 years. In that time I learned the intricacies and characteristics of steel and how it moves. Although I have been working with steel for over half of my life I have been an artist my whole life. During the hot summer months when it it too warm to shoe horses I practice wood carving. I work primarily in basswood and prefer to mix stain to create a unique and realistic piece of art.
