Thank you to Highland Park and the community for incredible support of the new layout of this year’s Port Clinton Art Festival and Taste of Highland Park.
This year’s layout situated the artists throughout the downtown business district to give more visibility to our wonderful local businesses and restaurants instead of south of the business district as in previous years.
Despite the rain on Friday and Saturday, crowds came out between rain drops and attended heavily on Sunday. The public overwhelmingly loved the new layout, saying it was easier to walk, no live traffic streets had to be crossed and they enjoyed being around the businesses they love.
Thanks to the great Highland Park restaurants that participated in the Taste of Highland Park. They are to be applauded for persevering during the rain, providing great food and service, and showing the public what a great group of eateries we have in Highland Park.
From the U.S. Navy band to our own Highland Park Players to the nationally acclaimed group 16 Candles, there was something for everyone at this year’s festival. Thanks to everyone who worked behind the scenes, Public Works, the fire and police departments, City Council, city staff, the festival sponsors, the downtown businesses and thanks to the community for its continuing support of this very special festival.
