An invitation to undergrad and grad students at the SAIC:
As an alum of the prestigious School of the Art Institute Chicago, (SAIC), I feel a responsibility to mentor up and coming SAIC artists and the best way I can do that is by giving the students a chance to show and sell their art at one of the festivals I produce., the famous Gold Coast Art Fair. All media of art are welcome at the Gold Coast Art Fair.
I invite current SAIC under grad and grad students to show and sell their art at the Gold Coast Art Fair, this June 16 and 17 in Grant Park, just east of the Art Institute. The festival runs from 10 am – 5 pm daily.
To make this experience easier for students, display spaces comprised of tents, weights and hanging walls will be provided. Two students will share each 10 x 10 foot tent, and the cost will be highly discounted to only $100 per person. (A cost savings of hundreds of dollars per person. ) Set up is either Friday June 15 during the day, or very early the morning of June 16.
Artists working in all media are invited to submit three images of their work by May 15. Each student artist selected will be assigned a mentor, an experienced festival artist, who will be available before and at the festival.
SAIC students who have participated in the past have felt this to be a great experience.
To further support participating students, I have offered to present a how-to session full of info on showing and selling your work.
As the festival is fast approaching, interested SAIC students should submit their application right away. For the Gold Coast Art Fair festival application for SAIC students, just click here!
Hope to see you at the Gold Coast Art Fair…this June 16 and 17, in Grant Park.
