Amy Amdur, the Founder & CEO of Amdur Productions, is a native of the Chicago area, attended both the School of the Art Institute Chicago and Northwestern University. She attributes her success to detailed planning and a great staff. Amdur has two children, loves travel and golf.
Amdur Productions, Inc., the award-winning event and art festival production company, annually produces more than 20 events including food, music and juried art festivals in the greater Chicago and Milwaukee area. Amdur Productions is best known for carefully curating and creating art festivals featuring juried artists from all over the country. Original art exhibited includes work in a variety of mediums and price points including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry, wood, metal, leather, and more. Many artists demonstrate their methods during the show, and share their stories with the public. “Our artists love interacting with our guests, talking about their experiences, and what inspired their pieces,” said Amdur.
Live music, hands on youth art experiences, festival food and drinks add to the events.
Amdur Productions’ is proud to continue their partnership with the Chicago Furniture Bank, a non-profit organization that furnishes housing for those who have been homeless. The public is invited to bring their gently used wall art to the fest for donation to the Chicago Furniture Bank. “They’re truly making a difference by distributing art and furnishings to those leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing,” said Amdur. “Art donations from our festival guests will help turn empty spaces into cozy homes.” Donations will be accepted at shows from May to October.
