Artist Statement
Born in Kaunas Lithuania I was inspired by significance of jewelry craftmanship and local mythology in Eastern Europe. Graduating from the Art Academy of Lithuania in 1994 where I had studied gem cutting metal crafting and jewelry design. After leaving Jewelry Row in 1999 I had established my own studio where I had been working specifically with Meteorites Fossils gems and amber by combining modern metal forms and cuts with traditional style. My goal is to try to reach strong and diverse new approach to jewelry by joining old world with new in using different techniquesof metal crafting. My creations capture the nostalgic past in innovative new forms creating bold but delicate undertones.
