The following two links will determine if artists need a seller’s permit and how to apply.

- Artists that anticipate to sell over $2,000 for the year should apply for a Wisconsin seller’s permit.
- Online Registration Business Tax Registration is required to hold a seller’s permit.
- Seller’s permit is $20 for the first two years and $10 every two years thereafter. The first initial permit form is detailed but after that, it’s very easy to cease or reactivate your permit by phone or email. Seasonal permits are also an option.
Vendors are required to have a seller’s permit number starting with 456- or claim one of the four exemptions.
