Amanda Bleatman is a multifaceted artist who brings a vibrant perspective to art and jewelry. Amanda is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she received her BFA in Painting and discovered a passion for jewelry design and metalsmithing. She combines her skill and extensive experience in both fields to create engaging jewelry pieces that focus on the interaction of color texture and detail while exhibiting quality craftsmanship and material. Amanda finds design inspiration in repurposing antique and vintage items such as coins transit tokens buttons and baubles into unique one-of-a-kind pieces that are modern and relevant. Each piece uses a lavish selection of materials including gorgeous freshwater pearl precious and semi-precious stones beautiful imported glass sterling silver and more. Amanda strives to preserve and celebrate small microcosms of culture by making an ordinary object extraordinary.
