How would you describe your work?
I create a diverse array of bronze sculptures, ranging from classical-inspired pieces to those with a more contemporary flair, often featuring fragmented figures juxtaposed with architectural volumes.
What does art mean to you? Why is it important to you?
For me, sculpting is a labor of love, driven by a passion for artistic creation. The journey from conception to completion is where I find the most joy, relishing each step along the way. Whether basking in the glow of success or grappling with areas for improvement, every piece serves as inspiration for future works.
What is your creative process? How do you typically approach a new piece of art?
My process begins with clay, where I experiment until achieving satisfaction. From there, I craft a mold to produce the wax prototype, which is then cast in bronze at the foundry and finished with a unique patina.
When did you first get into art?
My journey as a sculptor began approximately 25 years ago during my studies in graphic design, where I discovered my true passion lay in sculptural creation. While the essence of my work remains consistent with its origins, my technique and finishing have evolved significantly over time.
How do you see your work connecting with audiences?
Art born from the heart and soul inevitably resonates with viewers on a profound level. Embracing mistakes is integral to the creative process. I encourage aspiring artists to persevere with unwavering determination, for it is through dedication that artistic freedom is achieved.
