Artist Statement
I'm a sculptor working primarily with metal and stone but love to experiment combining a lot of mixed media disciplines. My sculptures deal mainly with the implied or real kinetic action or the effect of force exerted. Many of my pieces have multiple parts with contrasting textures and highly polished surfaces. The different shapes all have meanings. Critical to my work is the conveyed feeling of inner strength and beauty. I want to create a balance between nature and the industrial feel of the metal surfaces.
