Artist Statement
The daughter of an engineer and an artist mother my destiny was in my bloodline. My love for nature and art inspired me to teach art to children before taking my art to silk. Starting with white blank silks such as charmeuse crepe de chine and habotal silk I practice the serti and batik method of application with french dyes. I paint cut sew and create ponchos jackets and ruanas that are multifunctional and fun to wear. I also apply my silks on different fabrics I design and sew.
