Artist Statement
These image-rich constructions are a reflection of my interest in the animal world and how it relates to our everyday lives and mythologies. I use a wide variety of found re-purposed and made materials to tell a story. Materials include paper clay paint lino-prints cast resin and bronze altered images paper and wood as well as re-claimed materials such as found objects tin and boxes. Techniques include sculpture collage painting mold making and casting lino-printing and wood working. Techniques for assemblage range from collage to cold connections such as riveting and wiring to using fasteners.
