Artist Statement
I’m self taught; I experiment with new materials and techniques as much as I can. Youll find various styles and materials very different one of the other forming a large eclectic collection with prices ranging from $ 35 to $ 1500. All the jewelry is created in my studio where I personally control all the stages of production i.e. designing preparation of Mokume Gane assembly stones setting and casting if needed. Mokume Gane (wood grain in Japanese ) is a 17th century Japanese technique of joining alternate layers of silver and copper that eventually produce one piece of metal with striking patterns of unique designs. I use the Mokume-Gane technique in many of my more significant works.
