Artist Statement
I am a big dreamer, in love with whimsy and impractical fantasy. When I paint something it is oftentimes without purpose or a specific plan. My style is driven predominantly by my use of bold color and my penchant for the fantastical and amusing. With loose line work and splashes of color I weave together moments of emotion or humor without restrictions or rules. My wild use of bright acrylic and loose technique work together to form an abstract story. I see my works as characters, each representative of a personality which I have captured in an exaggerated story book illustration. My work represents a humorous and whimsical way of approaching life.
