Artist Statement
Painting is my way of transmitting the joy of life and the beauty I experience in the world. I work mostly in oil with an emphasis on texture and expressive color variations. In painting with the pallet knife I intensify the spontaneity and boldness of the artwork. The chromatic use of vibrant colors through my paintings captures the beauty and exuberance of the scene influencing the mood of the viewers. Inspired by the impressionist painters I focus mostly on transmitting a feeling or an atmosphere rather than creating a realistic rendition of an object. In approaching each artwork differently I always seek new ways to challenge myself.
