Artist Statement
Framed Quotations are mounted on watercolored or acrylic paste paper backgrounds & cardstock. All books use binder’s board. Most are covered with book cloth or artist-created watercolored or acrylic paste paper. Painted Books contain a single 12-page signature of paste paper or watercolors. Inside Accordion Books are four decorated panels with a single inspirational quote. Mini Journals have more than 120 pages bound with ribboning. The spines are decorated with various glass beads. The Artist Sketch Books hold 11×14 sketch pads that can be refilled. The Coptic Books are covered with imported paper & are hand-bound with the coptic stitch. Little Black Books hold 3×3″ Post It pads and can be refilled. Unlike the others these books are covered with suede paper. Their covers have a multi-layered design called Iris Folding. Framings & books are decorated with polymer florals buttons glass beads; and/or hand-stamped or embossed images. Some framings are 3-dimensional.”
