Artist Statement
I solder, fabricate, cast, and forge semi-precious and precious metals. My inspiration is from the clean lines of modern architecture, the organic shapes of nature, and my travels to my country, Mexico.
The seamless relationship between beauty and simplicity can be seen in each of my pieces. It is the playfulness with empty space that give my jewelry a sense of lightness. I am trying to prove a point with my work. Things, shapes, and forms are beautiful already – I do not need to add or drastically transform them, my job is to simply enhance and present them the right way.
Our individuality and simplicity may not always get us juried into an event as more flashy ornate pieces often grab the initial attention of some, but we understated types always are the spotlight at art fairs. Affordable with approachable designs, we would be a good fit for your event.
