How To Make the Most of Your Art Fest Day!

By Amdur Productions / Blog
  1. Preview the festival online before you go: Get a sense of the layout and special stages and experiences! Are you looking for a particular artist? Check the list of exhibitors to see if they will be at the show.
  2. Wear comfy shoes, a hat, and apply sunscreen before you leave home.
  3. Crowds are generally lighter in the morning, so start the day early.
  4. Walk the show and go in and out of booths. Avoid walking down the middle of the street.
  5. Ask artists questions about their process, their inspiration, and any specific pieces of art that catch your attention.
  6. Stop for a break and get a drink or snack in the fest. Hot days require extra hydration.  Enjoy the live music!
  7. Go back to your favorite artists and look at the art again. Love it? Is it within your comfort range as far as price goes?  Buy it. If it is too big for your car, ask the artist to deliver it to your home if you live nearby.
  8. If you love the art, but it is the wrong size, ask the artist to do a special piece to your specifications. This is called commissioning art.
  9. Go to a nearby outdoor café in the area and celebrate.
  10. Last but not least, go home and enjoy your new art!
