Artist Statement
I paint about family and home and love in all water based mediums on canvas and paper. I work in Series and the images discuss themes. The names of my completed Series include: Knitting Quilting Beach Glass Bountiful Angels and Dreams. I am currently working on a Series about trees and the work is mainly on paper and records trees that I have sketched from here at home and my travels abroad. I paint to celebrate life and I consciously imbue my work with color and form that evokes light joy love and hope. I believe that the images we live with daily help to determine our reality and experience of life. I work to make my images daily reminders of the beauty inherent in every moment even the painful and difficult ones. It is my great hope that my work would be purchased and placed where it will inspire those who collect it and those who enjoy it to their best possible selves so that they can then share that with the world.
