Artist Statement
Once Lost touches on the hearts of all those who have admired eras of the past. Antique and vintage trinket find new life in the assemblage adornments. As an eco-conscious designer recycling things that would have otherwise been discarded is what I live for. In using these objects I create a unique challenge for myself a limitation to only use what is in front of me. This particular challenge is rooted in my childhood. At one point in my life my parents were successful jewelers and my childhood was pleasant and educational often helping cast and set. Then my parents went bankrupt and I learned one of the most basic lessons. Make do with what you have. As an artist designing for over a decade now this has become a driving force in almost everything I do. It also has enhanced my stance on eco conscious artistry. I enjoy telling people that energy and natural resources had limited use in creating each piece. I am proud to offer a green product and a history less or two to go with it.
