Artist Statement
For over 20 years Ive worked on my series of university scenes which first started out as watercolor paintings and quickly evolved into a photographic style. I now have over 700 different colleges universities private schools and academies representing 48 states across the country. I personally travel to each campus and walk it entirely photographing each building. I then hand trim each photograph and arrange them into a collage which represent the entire campus. The finished image not only includes the buildings but also any other special points of interest in and around the campus. This is a hands on procedure in which each individual image is cut and placed by hand into the arrangement to create the final product. These images are a sentimental reflection of the college experience.
