Artist Statement

My mentor was Richard Brough. Mr. Brough was my graphics teacher at University of Alabama in 1979 but more important he made a deal with me. I was so bad at drawing a straight line that I had a D in graphics. He made me promise to pursue fine art and never take graphics again. In return he would give me a C in graphics. He was a great fine artist. I began my career 25 years ago selling to art galleries in New York City. Every city street scene I did seemed to sell quickly. My style is a is Rockwell meets Neiman. My work ranges from $20 paper to $70-$475 canvas prints. Originals sell for $1 500 to $10 000. For the past seven years I have developed a reputation as a sports artist; however many times the sports are integrated with major sports cities. Chicago is one of my favorite towns to paint the city it’s sports and it’s people! I currently have works in the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame The College Football Hall of Fame as well as several other prominent museums.
