Artist Statement
I have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember! With a grand total of 12 years in art education holding a BFA and a MFA I have always taken art as the central focus in my life. Painting for a living is a dream come. I have a profound love for still-life painting. Guided by a special perspective to light shadow color and form I paint common objects in everyday life. I applie my realistic skill in creating still-life of purity serenity rationality and harmony. I choose pastel as my main media as it neIt remains as fresh colorful and distinct as it is fresh from my hand as long as it is framed and kept from direct sunlight.
