My inspiration for the paintings I create are the result of studying nature and being inspired by the infinite and intricate designs and colors of our natural world. I have always been fascinated by architecture and the purpose of my current body of work is to show the wonder of natural creation and structures created by man. I begin the process of creating a piece by determining the horizon line and vanishing points. Next I do a pencil sketch of the main structures as a guide for an underpainting. I finish the work by applying several layers of acrylic paint working randomly until I achieve the tone that I am pleased with.
