Artist Statement
I am pleased to introduce my latest work in custom jewelry. I began working with dichroic glass four years ago and my pieces have now evolved to feature custom sterling bezels or bails semiprecious gemstones and unique shapes. I also now offer pieces made exclusively in sterling New tools and training are allowing me the freedom to explore more creative and unique designs than ever before. Although I began as a dichroic glass jewelry artist I now consider myself to be a jewelry artist who utilizes dichroic glass among other components. I primarily employ the techniques of glass fusing cold glass cutting metal soldering and fold forming to create my designs. For my most original artworks the inspiration usually comes from the piece itself and ends up being something I never imagined or intended at it’s inception. Some pieces sit on my workbench for months until I figure out what they are supposed to be and how they will work on a woman’s body.
