Artist Statement
I earned my BA in Art History in 1963 from the College of William and Mary so I am trained classically in art as to design and the evolution of design. I design and make each piece directly in the metals I use Sterling silver 14k gold and 14k gold-filled and everything I design and make is inspired by different artists and periods of art. Mine is a full time Craft Arts studio of 40 years. The way in which I work is also inspired by Art History being in the tradition of the Renaissance Craft Guilds using traditional hand tools and hand technics and slowly evolving and perfecting my technics and designs over time.
