Artist Statement
Hannah Ha founded Palén Design in 2003 with her jewelry line Palén. With a background in Industrial and Graphic Design, Hannah combines her knowledge of color and depth to bring a new dimension to the realm of jewelry design. Her collection, Palén covers a wide spectrum- from simple elegance for the everyday woman to lush extravagance for the red carpet diva. The name Palén derives from the word ‘palindrome’ mirroring her name and symbolizing the balance and flow of each design.
Inspired by fashion and an eye for color, Hannah enjoyed experimenting with the design and creation of jewelry. In November 2003, Palén was launched. Over the next several months, her collection caught the eyes of boutiques and magazines thus confirming her talent. What started as a hobby to pass time from a surgery turned into a successful business.
After the birth of her daughter, she was inspired to branch out from her intricate jewelry designs to carrying hair accessories for her own little princess thus creating Palén Princess.
