Artist Statement
Our musical furniture and accent pieces are made of domestic and exotic hardwoods selected for hardness, grain configuration, silica content and elasticity. None of them are endangered species. Our emphasis is on beauty of tone and asthetic appeal. All are pitched in player friendly open tunings by varying length, width, shape, and thickness of the “tongues” which are played with mallets. Finishes are hand rubbed.
