Artist Statement
We are sisters handcrafting interchangeable jewelry components from vintage and antique treasures. Pendants created from antique optometrist lenses carefully en-capsule tiny treasures we cut and layer from vintage and antique greeting cards and postcards. Hours are spent on each design before a sprinkling of vintage glass glitter completes the piece. An antique button accents the back. Each necklace and bracelet is hand strung using vintage and antique beads artfully designed to accent the pendants. Our jewelry making techniques include beading paper crafting soldering and calligraphy. We began in 2009 after discovering a velvet lined box of antique optometrist lenses inspiring us to explore our love for creativity history and Americana.
