Evanston Art & Big Fork Festival
This annual event brings together the trifecta of a good time with hours of art, music, and great food. Featuring original, high-end work from nearly 150 juried artists from around the country, unique art pieces will be available for purchase throughout the weekend at a variety of price points. Perfect for experienced collectors or those looking for something special for their home, traditional mediums such as painting, sculpture, and photography will be showcased alongside unique, usable art, including handmade jewelry, one-of-a-kind furniture, and home accessories. The festival is FREE and open to the public, and takes place outdoors on Church and Sherman streets (800 Church Street) on Friday, August 16, from 4 pm to 9 pm (art open til dusk) Saturday, August 17, from 10 am to 9 pm (art open til dusk), and Sunday, August 18, from 10 am to 5 pm.
Throughout the 3-day event, art lovers will have the opportunity to see the masters at work with live art demonstrations along with one-on-one booth chats; a unique opportunity to gain insight into their unique inspirations! Activities will be provided for young art lovers and adults can enjoy a wide variety of local beer, wine, and food vendors throughout the Festival. Live music will add to the festive mood! In addition to the incredible artwork, Evanston Art & Big Fork features live music, local food, beer, wine and fun art projects for kids all weekend long. Situated on the downtown streets of Evanston amongst a great variety of specialty shops and restaurants, the festival compliments a day of shopping, eating, and browsing for all.
