5th Annual Printer’s Row Art Fest
Chicago’s historic Printer’s Row neighborhood sets the stage for the South Loop’s most hip and cool art fest! The Printer’s Row Art Fest, in conjunction with the South Loop Neighbors and the Greater South Loop Association, celebrates its fourth year on Saturday and Sunday, August 12 and 13.
This art fest takes place on Dearborn Street from Polk to Harrison and welcomes 90 juried artists from near and far! While strolling the show you’ll see incredible art from painters, street artists, jewelers, up-cycling artists, photographers, woodworkers, sculptors and more – at all price points! There’ll be lots of live music and local restaurants, cafes and bars will offer a multitude of eating and drinking options. The gorgeous architecture throughout Printer’s Row makes for a magnificent backdrop for this show, highlighting the beauty, culture, and creativity of the area! Admission is free and there is nearby parking, as well as a convenient parking garage one block away on Harrison. The show is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Attendees are invited to bring their gently used wall art to the festival where it will be donated to the Chicago Furniture Bank, a local nonprofit that distributes furnishings and art to those leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing. Several artists from this show are participating in Amdur Productions’ Green Ribbon Project. Artists place a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth, and if the piece is sold, 10% of the sale will be donated to Amdur’s charitable partner.
