Artist Statement
During my 25 year career as a professional photographer I’ve spent most of my free weekends and vacations traveling through Minnesotas Parks and Forests capturing the beauty of the wilderness. I photograph extensively on The North Shore of Lake Superior and in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness both arguably some of the most beautiful places in the country. Inspired by photographers like the Legendary Ansel Adams and Minnesota Photographers Jim Brandenburg Craig Blacklock and Mark Danich I continually strive to hone my skills and develop my vision of nature through my lens. The experience of witnessing The Natural Condition as Ansel Adams called it has certainly changed my life and enriched my soul. It is my hope that though my photography others will choose to explore nature and come to share the same love of the outdoors that I have. All prints art Giclee’ prints using archival materials.
