Artist Statement
I create one of a kind sculptures to wear celebrating the female form. I start by sculpting the characters in porcelain and firing each one several times, layering the glazes. The completed miniatures are set in mixed precious metals. Many of the designs include semi-precious and precious stones. The brooches are shown on a stand, so that they can be displayed as sculpture when not being worn.
